Announcing the new man in my life...

So I have a new man in my life...tall, dark and handsome...he's PERFECT! His occupation is cruising around the world pillaging the rich and avoiding dentists. The only thing wrong with him is that he's not even an inch thick and lacks a pulse! Oh well...you can still eat your heart out Maia!It's amazing the fun you can have with a cardboard cutout of Jack...I am officially a dork!Check out my new pirate shirt...SOOOOO cute! That sounded waaaay too girly for me...oh well! It's still so cute!

I got to spend the day with babies...one was not even 2 days old yet! Meet Asher with his dad, Turbo...

It's on days like today that I really wish I lived in California. The morning kicked off with surfing @ Newport...can it get any better than that (besides maybe bigger waves and warmer weather!) It was girls nite out...which meant loading the truck with wood and heading off to our favourite spot @ Balboa beach. These are the moments of proving we're not just hot chicks...we can lite some serious fires WITHOUT the help of lighter fluid or some outdoorsy buff. Check out the flames...Yeah...and that wasn't even at it's fullest potential! We had an amazing time - cheezy sausages, s'mores (mine was with the peanut butter alternative since I'm still fasting chocolate!), entertaining bathroom breaks, Janna Plant and her funny stories, and laughter. Not to mention the other interesting locals that migrated in our direction! Mix that with a beach, an ocean and enough wood to last a couple hours and you pretty much have a perfect evening. Gosh I'm going to miss this...

Beach Day

So I got to go to the beach today...I know, I know...tough life! We spent the day at Balboa with Sarah and her boyz, Cindy and her boyz, and Kent and Joyce. It was a nice day to get out of the house and keep the children occupied. Kent was instant bff with Levi, Jude and the water... while Judah stuck to throwing sand and crackers at the sea gulls. Gotta love the wild locks! We broke for lunch at Rubys on the Pier...a hamburger joint out on the water. Great food...great times! It was great to hang out with K&J while they were in Cali. I took them to the Orange Circle, Veronese Cafe (my fav place in Fullerton!) and ended up going to the Cheesecake Factory later - and you wouldn't believe it unless I told it to you myself - I DIDN'T HAVE CHEESECAKE! What's the world coming to?...Anyways, here's some shots of the skim boarders I thought all my peeps in Canuckville would appreciate - being in ludicrous sub-zero temps. I seriously could watch these guys all day with my camera (in a very non-stalking, non-creepy way!)

I arrived late Thursday nite, only to start my stay here with a little work first thing in the morning. This is Holly and Gus, friends of mine who are getting married in June. Nothing like squeezing some engagement photos in while I'm in the area! That's what happens when you bring your camera along!

For those of you who don't know, I am currently in California visiting a friend. Her family is going thru some pretty intense stuff...her dad was arrested on a misdemeanor in a public park washroom facility. This would have been bad enough, if it hadn't made the evening news. Needless to say, the family is going through some interesting times and could use your prayers. I have been given the liberty to share this information so that we can keep them in thought and before the throne of God. I have had opportunity to meet (if only briefly) with all the family members. It's a long road to healing, but God is faithful and merciful...
